Tax and VAT upgrades with inclusive pricing and consistent totals
The problem Businesses need to enter and display prices in the way their customers expect, including prices with VAT already included. Dutch businesses also need appropriate BTW labels and clear consumer-facing totals without manually maintaining tax wording on every package. Planned direction Upgrade tax and VAT handling across packages, documents and booking checkout. Enter prices including or excluding tax, with a preview of the corresponding amount. Display tax-inclusive prices, tax-exclusive prices, or both as appropriate for the business and its market. Use business-specific tax names and labels such as BTW, VAT, GST, incl. BTW and excl. BTW. Configure business tax rates centrally and apply appropriate tax categories to packages, items and add-ons. Show consistent totals on package cards, in the cart, on invoices and at checkout, using the correct currency. Account for applicable travel and service fees in the customer-facing total. Support mixed tax treatments and relevant business-client or exemption scenarios. Preserve prices and tax details on previously sent documents when business rates change. This request groups the related tax user stories into one customer-facing improvement. Country-specific rules, implementation scope and rollout timing are being assessed. Government tax filing and government e-invoicing are outside this request. Reported by Peter Middelhoek of Doe het SelfieBox.
