Simpler package pricing with a base price and included or priced items
The problem When a package uses a fixed flat price, adding a priced subitem changes its contents but not its total. For example, adding a €25 travel item to a €351,24 package still leaves the total at €351,24. The distinction between flat pricing and adding up line items makes it hard to know what clients will pay. Planned direction Make package pricing clearer with one model: a base price plus any separately priced items. Items marked as Included do not add to the package total. Priced items add their price multiplied by quantity to the base price. Show a live total and a clear breakdown while building a package. Support item descriptions and images so clients understand what is included. Keep prices consistent across package setup, client documents, the cart, invoices and checkout. Preserve existing package totals and previously sent documents when introducing the new model. The detailed pricing rules and migration approach are being assessed. Planned status is not a release-date commitment. Reported by Peter Middelhoek of Doe het SelfieBox.
