Send a document right from the project's Documents tab
The problem When you open a project and go to the Documents tab, the three-dot menu on a document only gives you Edit, Copy link to document and Delete. To actually send it to your client, you have to open the document, click Edit, wait for the editor to load, and send from there. That's a lot of clicks for the thing you do most after creating a document. What we're building A Send option in the three-dot menu on each document in a project's Documents tab. If the document has already been sent, it shows Resend instead. The send window opens right on top of the Documents tab, with your project's contacts already filled in. You can still change who it goes to, which email it's sent from, and the subject and message. Once it's sent, you stay where you are. The document's Sent date and status update straight away, and the send shows up in the project's Activity. If something would stop the document from sending (like an empty page), you'll see what it is and can jump into the editor to fix it. If the project has no contact with an email address yet, we'll let you know so you can add one first. Why it matters Picture a photo booth business sending a brochure to a new inquiry, or resending a proposal to a client who lost the email. That should take two clicks from the project, not a trip through the editor.
