Attach PDF to client document emails
The problem Client document emails currently include a portal link, but no PDF attachment. Clients, especially accounts-payable teams, have to open the portal and download the document before they can process it, adding extra steps and potentially delaying payment. What we're building An optional Attach PDF to client email setting for document templates and individual documents. It will be off by default. Documents created from a template will inherit the setting, with the option to change it for a single document. When enabled, share, resend, and document reminder emails will include a PDF reflecting the document's current state. This covers proposals, contracts, invoices, brochures, questionnaires, and custom documents. The client portal link will always remain in the email. If a PDF cannot be generated or is too large to attach, the email will still send with the portal link so delivery is not blocked. Why it matters Clients can save, forward, or process the PDF directly from their inbox without downloading it from the portal first. Structured e-invoicing formats such as Peppol, UBL, and Factur-X are outside this request.
